What will I learn?

Your Apprenticeship will teach you the skills of the trade for whatever area of the Hospitality industry you wish to work in. These skills will enable you to achieve a Hospitality NVQ at Level 2. The units of your Apprenticeship will depend upon the hospitality area in which you wish to work.

You will also gain:

Technical Certificates
Application of Number Key Skill at Level 1
Communication Key Skill at Level 1
You will receive training in Health and Safety and how the law applies to you at work.

An Advanced Apprenticeship will enable you to achieve an NVQ Level 3 in your chosen area. You will develop more advanced craft skills and be prepared for future progression to supervisory or junior management roles.

How will I be trained?

Most of your training will be in your workplace with your employer and you will attend training sessions at a training centre on a regular basis. We will observe you at work where you will carry out most of your assessments, and we will support you with assignments and discussions. Practical training for chefs will take place in our brand new training kitchen and spacious restaurant at our Weymouth centre.
