Beauty Therapy is a vibrant industry and to be successful you need to use a unique combination of skills, working with the public to enhance their well being, helping them to feel good about themselves.

If you are a good communicator and have a genuine interest in people and wellbeing, if you are creative and confident, then Beauty Therapy could be the career for you.

An Apprenticeship will give you a wide range of skills that are needed to work in today’s modern salons.

How will I learn?

Our course is an apprenticeship where you earn whilst you learn – a minimum of £95 per week. The course takes one year to complete and during that time you visit our academy approximately two days per week.

What will I learn?

The beauty therapy NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 courses takes place from the new and fully equipped Aspire Hair and Beauty Academy in Bournemouth. All the practical work and the underpinning knowledge is taught and assessed on a part-time basis in a friendly and supportive environment.

The course is work related and you will have the option to specialise in Beauty Therapy or Nail Services. The Level 2 course covers how to:

Improve & maintain facial skin condition
Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments
Remove hair using waxing techniques
Provide manicure treatment
Provide pedicure treatment

• Eye treatments – tinting, eyebrow shaping and application of false lashes
• Waxing
• Facials
• Health and Safety
• Promote additional services or products to clients
• Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work

Level 2 Nail Services

• Basic nail art
• Nail extensions
• Health and safety
• Reception duties
• Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
