This is a work-based qualification, assessed on the basis of evidence collected to prove competence, which is measured against national standards set for the motor industry by Automotive Skills. This award builds on basic knowledge and skills and helps further development into more specialised areas of light vehicle maintenance and repair

Who will benefit:

Anyone wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification at Level 2 in the automotive industry and progress towards semi skilled status

Entry requirements:

Participants should be working in an automotive environment, be motivated and enthusiastic with good mechanical aptitude.

Course Aims:

The course aims to develop participants’ skills and technical knowledge within the work place and recognise their achievement with a National Vocational Qualification.

Duration:

Up to 2 years
