Performing Engineering Operations (Marine) NVQ
This qualification is designed to give new entrants into Marine Engineering occupations including GRP and Woodworking, a basic understanding of safety and general marine engineering practices. The PEO offers a choice of engineering subjects to suit the widest possible range of needs of both employer and employee.

Who will benefit:
Anyone responsible for the day-to-day running of equipment and the quality of work they produce, and who have authority to exercise judgement and make decisions
Entry requirements:
Participants should be working in a marine engineering environment, be motivated and enthusiastic with good mechanical and practical aptitude.
Course Aims:
Participants will:
- Gain a good understanding of safety and requirements of personal protection equipment
- Be able to recognise engineering materials and processes
- Use industrial standard communication methods such as engineering and layout drawings
