CIEH Advanced Certificate in Food Safety

Subjects covered are bacteriology and food borne illnesses, physical contamination of food, food storage, temperature control and preservation, design and construction of food premises and equipment, cleaning and disinfection and management control techniques.

Who will benefit:

This qualification is designed for managers, supervisors and senior personnel such as production managers, trainers, owners or managers of food businesses, supervisors with Intermediate Food Hygiene knowledge, hygiene personnel, hygiene auditors, shift managers or supervisors.

Entry requirements:

It is recommended that participants have prior knowledge to the level of the CIEH Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety or equivalent.

Course Aims:

On completing this qualification participants will be able to guide and advise on the management of food hygiene in a food business, identify areas for legal compliance, design an improvement plan and deliver Foundation or Level 2 Food Hygiene training (with appropriate training skills).

  • Suitable for those wishing to deliver CIEH food safety qualifications as part of their training provision.
  • CFET Stage 1

Duration:

5 days
