Practical and theory assessments are used to determine and confirm candidate progress and competence set against the national standards, looking at practical skills such as cutting, colouring and perming as well as customer service and Health and Safety related units.

Who will benefit:

The course is aimed at anyone wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Entry requirements:

Participants will need to be working as a salon junior, with good communication skills and a strong interest in the fashion industry. They will need to be highly motivated and artistically minded.

Course Aims:

On completing this qualification, participants will become junior stylists within their salons and able to carry out basic technical and styling techniques.

Progression:

On completion of this award candidates will be able to develop their skills as a stylist before being able to then progress onto a Level 3 qualification

Duration:

Up to 25 months

Courses are subject to minimum number participation. Bespoke training is available in all courses subject to agreement
