This course takes a practical approach to differing levels of challenging behaviour and participants are empowered to develop their own strategies for managing the situations within their establishments. Participants also enjoy the opportunity to learn more about managing threatening situations while achieving a minimal breakdown in trust between staff and clients.

Who will benefit:

Anyone working within residential care homes, nursing homes or domiciliary care/nursing agencies that need a knowledge and understanding of how to deal with challenging or threatening behaviour.

Course Aims:

To ensure best practice within the workplace and to be aware of current legislation surrounding these issues, the roles and responsibilites of the carer and to understand and appreciate the difference between behaviour management and behaviour change.
