Client & Patient Handling
This course is designed for a care home or nursing home worker, occupational therapist or physiotherapist (or other suitable person) wishing to become a workplace client handling trainer/assessor. A person specification to assist in the selection of suitable candidates is available.
Who will benefit:
Anyone working within a care setting where there are clients that will need assistance with moving either using a hoist or other lifting or moving aids.
Entry requirements:
Participants should be physically fit and able to take part in lifting activities; flat shoes and loose clothing should be worn.
Course Aims:
To introduce best practice within the workplace in client handling using techniques and equipment provided to reduce the risk of injury to the staff and the client.
